BLUE RODEO PERFORMS AT STRATFORD BLUES AND RIBFEST JUNE 21, 2013
(Stratford, ON) May 16, 2013 – Canadian Music Hall of Famers, Blue Rodeo, are sorry to announce that the fundraising concert for Stratford Cash for Splash Campaign to be held this Sunday, May 19 at the R.J. Burnside Agriplex has been postponed due to issues arising from establishing capacity of the facility. Due to unforeseen circumstances that took place weeks after originally booking the venue, the organizers were unable to resolve the capacity issues in time to stage the concert effectively.
The new date for the concert will be Friday, June 21 at Stratford Blues and Ribfest. The show will be held inside historic William Allman Arena and all current ticket holders will be honoured at the new date while the $30 dinner ticket will be refunded at place of purchase. Please exchange tickets already purchased for a new ticket at place of purchase after May 24.
Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo says, “Stratford has always been a special place for Blue Rodeo to perform and we are very sorry for the disruptions caused by our show being postponed. The event was designed to be a community fundraiser and it has been amazing to watch the community pull together to make it happen despite these setbacks. We are excited to be working with Stratford Blues & Ribfest, The Kinsmen Club of Stratford and The City of Stratford on this new date. We are looking forward to celebrating the summer solstice in Stratford and seeing you all soon.”
Stratford Blues and Ribfest Chair, Stew Laing, wants to thank the City of Stratford, The Kinsmen Club of Stratford, and Blue Rodeo for their willingness to make this fund raising concert happen for The Splash Pad fund raising campaign and Blue Rodeo’s many dedicated area fans.
The Splash Pad in Stratford will play a much broader role in the health, fitness, and well being of the community. A splash pad will provide hours of safe water fun to thousands of young children and families in the area of Anne Hathaway Park at the corner of Downie Street and Bruce Street.
